We welcome anybody who has a disability to apply to study a range of Chrysalis courses offered by Chrysalis Not For Profit.

Application criteria

You can study a variety of courses with Chrysalis Not For Profit that’ll give you the training you need to establish a career as a professional counsellor. Each Chrysalis course begins with a one year programme that provides you with a QCF Level 3 Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills from the AIM Awards.

If you can demonstrate that you understand the course materials and that you’re responsible and ethical, we’ll consider your application for the first year of study. However, if you want to receive direct entry into our second year of training, which will provide you with a QCF Level 4 Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory from the AIM awards, you need to have gained the Level 3 Certificate or some type of professional hypnotherapy qualification before you apply.

Making adjustments

This means that if you’re disabled, you can apply for the first year of study on the Chrysalis course of your choice. We will do whatever we can to adapt our training programmes to ensure that you have everything you need to complete your preferred course of study.

We make sure that the venues that host Chrysalis courses are accessible in nearly every conceivable circumstance. Also, we ensure that venues can facilitate the presence of support persons and guide dogs. Furthermore where possible, we make appropriate adaptations to our course materials to ensure you can complete your training programme.

If you want to ensure we have everything we need to help you study a Chrysalis course, you need to do one thing for us; let us know your requirements when you apply. This will give us the notice we need to arrange a longer interview to discuss how we can meet your needs once you enrol on a Chrysalis course.
